Update from Israel #Bus632

We hit the ground running with a trip to Givat Haviva to learn about the background of the geopolitical situation in Israel. The eloquent and insightful speaker brought the group to a hill that looked over a village bisected by the green line and security barrier. The participants, most of whom had no background in the conflict, asked insightful questions as she spoke about her personal experiences with her Kibbutz and Arab-Israeli friends in the village below. Afterwards we stopped for lunch on our way to the beautiful Bahai Gardens. The group stopped to marvel at the intricate patterns of the garden, while Oshrit, our tour guide, told us the story of how the Bahai religion came to be. We then journeyed onwards onto our final destination for the evening. Before bed we created committees for various groups such as a Shabbat committee and Mifgash committee to welcome our Israeli participants, allowing the participants to take true ownership in their experience. Looking forward to many new experiences and further bonding with our mishpacha!
