Shabbat Shalom from Jerusalem!

Nov 14 - Jeffrey Donenfeld - Har Adar Jerusalem Panorama

We started our day at the Harel Overlook in Har Adar. As it was the first sighting of Jerusalem, we said Shehechianu and a l’chaim. Then we headed to the Old City.

We walked down the Cardo (the heart of the city) and toured the Jewish Quarter. We left notes in the Kotel and had a Bat Mitzvah ceremony for several of the women on the trip. It was an emotional group moment, and felt really special to have that experience in Jerusalem.

In the afternoon we visited Machane Yehuda, a huge, and very crowded, market in the center of Jerusalem. We ate lunch, and picked out foods and treats for an Oneg Shabbat.

We will light the candles and say the blessings before we sit down to Shabbat dinner together. The group sends wishes for a peaceful and beautiful Shabbat.

Shabbat Shalom!!!
