Live Trip Updates – July 31, 2014

Every day we will post live trip updates. Check for the group code (starting with TL-30-) for a specific group…

TL-30-407: The group departed Israel this morning, bringing with them memories to last a lifetime. We’ll miss you!

TL-30-408 and TL-30-409: Today, the group’s first full day in Jerusalem was a somber one. They visited Har Herzl National Memorial, which honors Israeli soldiers who lost their lives in combat. Har Herzl is also the location of Theodor Herzl’s grave. Afterwards, they toured Yad Vashem, Israel’s Holocaust memorial and museum. They will enjoy a relaxing and reflective evening before preparing for their next day of touring.

BahaiTL-30-410: This group spent the day in Northern Israel checking out the ancient ruins of Tzippori and the amazing gardens at the Bahai temple in Haifa. The group then headed down south to Jerusalem where they will meet the Israelis who will travel with them for the next five days. Check out this photo from today at the top of the Bahai Gardens in Haifa…

TL-30-411 and TL-30-412: Today, the group began their day with another exciting hike. Then, they traveled to the beautiful, mystic city of Tzfat. In Tzfat, the group toured the city, learned about the Mikvah, shopped in the stores of local artists, and tasted some local cuisine for lunch. It was a very exciting day.

TL-30-413: This group enjoyed a breathtaking hike through Mount Bental where they could view the Golan Heights and cool off under a small waterfall. The group spent the afternoon banana boating, tubing and playing games in the Kinneret, the largest freshwater lake in Israel.

TL-30-414 and TL-30-415: These groups landed safely in Israel earlier today and headed up North for ice breakers and a good night’s sleep!
