Live Trip Updates – July 26, 2014

TL-30-403: The group enjoyed some much needed rest and relaxation after their jam packed first week. In the afternoon, they visited the Israel Museum and took a walking tour of the neighborhood. The group ended Shabbat with Havdallah, a ceremony to welcome in the new week.  

TL-30-404: This Los Angeles community group enjoyed a restful Shabbat, relaxing at Crowne Plaza hotel in Jerusalem. In the evening, two of the group’s participants led everyone in song for their Havdallah ceremony to welcome in the new week. After dinner, they engaged in a group discussion led by an Israeli lecturer. They discussed Israel’s history and current political situation, as well as the country’s current conflict. In the evening, they enjoyed a group night out at a local bar on Ben Yehuda Street, Jerusalem’s center for night life.

TL-30-405: Following a jam packed first week, the group enjoyed a restful Shabbat, relaxing at Neve Ilan Hotel right outside of Jerusalem. In the evening, two of the group’s participants led everyone in song for their Havdallah ceremony to welcome in the new week. After dinner, they engaged in a group discussion led by Israeli lecturer Sheldon Shulman. They discussed Israel’s history and current political situation, as well as the country’s current conflict.

TL-30-406: The group had a relaxed morning and then visited the Israel Museum in the afternoon. They also enjoyed a walking tour of Jerusalem. At the end of Shabbat, they celebrated Havdallah to welcome in the new week.

TL-30-407: This Israel by Bike group spent Shabbat in Jerusalem and had a restful morning. In the afternoon, they visited the Israel Museum and took a walking tour of the neighborhood. The group ended Shabbat with Havdallah, as ceremony to welcome in the new week.

TL-30-408 & TL-30-409: These groups spent Shabbat in Tiberias along the Sea of Galilee and enjoyed some free time in this northern city. In the evening, they held a Havdallah ceremony to celebrate the conclusion of Shabbat.

TL-30-892: During their last full day in Israel, the group took a walking tour of Jerusalem, enjoying the grounds of the Knesset (Israeli Parliament) and stopping for a photo-op at the Menorah across the street from the Knesset. They also visited the Israel Museum. In the evening the group shared a closing dinner and wrap up session to reflect on everything they have experienced. Check out some photos from today …
