Live Trip Updates – August 21, 2014

TL-30-427: The group is spending their final day in Israel’s north. They started the day in Haifa and took a tour of the breathtaking Bahai Gardens and Temple. Then, they traveled to Akko, a beautiful city with a fascinating history, to walk the ancient streets. In the afternoon, they also visited Caesarea to see the Roman ruins. After a closing dinner and wrap up session, the group made one last stop at the beach to see the sunset and then headed to the airport to return home.

TL-30-425: Today the group spent their last day in Israel in the north. The group spent the morning in Haifa, touring the Bahai Gardens and Temple. Then, they traveled to the ancient city of Akko to walk the historic streets. Later, they received time for relaxation on the beach. Early tomorrow morning the group will head to the airport to return home, completed their Birthright experience.

TL-30-428 and TL-30-429: The group started their time in Jerusalem on a somber note. The group first visited Har Herzl National Memorial and cemetery for fallen soldiers. Then, after lunch, toured Yad Vashem Holocaust Museum and Memorial. Later in the day, the group had some free time to explore and shop on Ben Yehuda Street, one of Jerusalem’s most popular pedestrian shopping streets. Here is the group relaxing in between today’s challenging activities.

TL-30-430 and TL-30-435: The group started their morning with a challenging hike in the north on Mount Arbel. Then, they traveled to the city of Haifa. In Haifa they visited the Stella Maris lookout for an incredible view of the city and the Mediterranean Sea. They also toured the Bahai Gardens and Temple. Afterward the group departed for Jerusalem. Once in Jerusalem, they received their first view of the city at the beautiful Haas Promenade overlook.

TL-30-431: The group started their day today visiting Tzippori and learning about its ancient history. Then, they traveled to Haifa where they witnessed the breathtaking view from the Stella Maris lookout followed by a tour of the Bahai Gardens and Temple. Afterward, the group made their way to Jerusalem. Once in Jerusalem, they stopped at the Haas Promenade for a first look at Israel’s capital. Tonight they will spend a leisure evening out in Jerusalem. Check out the group in Tzippori and Haifa!

TL-30-432 and TL-30-795: Today, the group started their day with a hike up Mount Arbel in the north. Then, they visited Haifa, another northern city. Here, they took a tour of the beautiful Bahai Gardens and Temple and saw an amazing view of the city from atop the Stella Maris lookout. The group then headed to Jerusalem, where they will spend the weekend and Shabbat.

TL-30-437: The group arrived in Israel today and is already off to a great start. Once in Ben Gurion Airport, they met their Israeli tour guide and departed for the north. Upon arrival at the hotel the group did some fun icebreakers, a program orientation,  and ate a delicious first dinner.
