Thank you for your interest in staffing an Israel Outdoors trip this winter sponsored by Taglit-Birthright Israel.

ABOUT THE POSITION
Staffing a Taglit-Birthright Israel with Israel Outdoors is both a privilege and a responsibility. As a member of our staff team, you will have a once in a life time opportunity to have an incredibly powerful impact for our participants...and for yourself as well. While staffing a trip should definitely be an exciting experience, our North American staff leaders are counted on to for the following roles:

• Manage the airport departure & in-flight process
• Support the Israeli trip guide in all aspects of the trip
• Ensure smooth running of the group: logistically, socially, and experientially
• Serve as a role model for participants throughout the program
• Assist in leading educational discussion groups and informal programming

Finally, although the position is unpaid, all expenses are covered on the program, and in most cases, staff members are able to extend their tickets. Please note that Israel Outdoors is not in a position to cover staff travel costs to the departure airport within the United States.

STAFF ELIGIBILITY RULES
To be eligible for a US staff position, you must meet the following minimum requirements:

• Age 21 or above
• Extended experience in Israel on an educationally oriented program
• Strong Jewish background
• Strong leadership background

NOTE: Although Israel Outdoors does not require its staff to assist with recruiting, any such assistance is certainly appreciated (and will also help ensure that we have sufficient staff slots to accommodate everyone). Registration is open at http://www.israeloutdoors.com

HOW TO APPLY
The application process is quite simple. Please simply fill out the form below. Once we receive your application, we will be in touch with you personally regarding eligibility. Assuming you are eligible, we will begin the scheduling process. Keep in mind that since trip dates will be added and adjusted frequently in the months leading up to the trips, we may not be able to place you immediately on a trip even if you fully meet the eligibility requirements. Due to limited trip availability, we also can not absolutely guarantee anyone a staffing position even if they meet all of the requirements. In other words, we will ask for your patience in advance and promise to be fully open and fair with you at every stage. Once you have been formally selected to staff a trip, we will conduct a mandatory staff training session (in person and over teleconference) at a date to be announced in April.
