Israel By Bike
Israel By Bike is a 10-day Taglit-Birthright Israel trip designed for anyone with a passion for outdoor experiences and cycling. As our most active experience, Israel By Bike is about breathtaking off-road biking and hiking, 3000 years of Jewish historical exploration, and forming new cross-cultural friendships.
What's in store? The core Israel By Bike experience includes Jerusalem's Western Wall, a sunrise at Masada, floating in the Dead Sea, a traditional Bedouin tent dinner feast, camel trekking the desert, trendy Tel Aviv, mystical Tsfat, the Sea of Galilee, and the best of Israeli culture and night life.
What makes the Israel By Bike experience unique is a set of off-road bike rides throughout Israel's diverse countryside...the Judean Desert, the Carmel Mountains, the Golan Heights, the Jerusalem foothills, and the Mediterranean Coast*. There's no better way to experience the beauty of Israel's landscape.

We also spend five out of the ten days experiencing Israel with a group of Israeli peers on leave from their army service. There is truly no better way to experience Israel than with Israelis at your side.
Israel By Bike is a hands-on opportunity to get a taste of Israel's natural beauty, diverse culture, and rich history. If you are looking for something that is truly off the beaten track, we'll see you on the saddle!
The Israel By Bike experience is about...
- An eco-adventure that gets you off the tour bus and on a bike! Perfect for anyone who wants to more intimately experience the Land of Israel*.

- The opportunity to meet fellow participants from all over North America; not only from one region or campus.
- The opportunity to meet, interact, and form relationships with Israeli peers on leave from the army.
- Top-notch staff including accredited Israeli outdoor guides/educators and dynamic North American peer chaperones.
*Is the Israel By Bike trip right for me?
Israel By Bike can be enjoyed by anyone who is physically fit, can ride a bicycle, and who gravitates to active outdoor experiences. The idea of this trip is not a biking challenge. Rather, our aim is to provide you with an innovative way to experience the country. We provide bicycles and helmets for you. The biking itself is off-road, but not especially overly challenging. Most of the travel is still bus-based, and there is only one night of actual camping on the program.
